Drive to Fredericton longer??

I went to Fredericton tonight and is it my imagination or does it take longer to get there now? I left uptown SJ at 4:15 on the dot, and I did not pull onto Regent St until 5:30. I went the speed limit and then some all the way in my (almost) brand new car. At some points there was NO traffic but me, so it wasn't as if I was held up by Sunday drivers. I commuted to Fredericton daily for 7 weeks one year for some classes driving a 12 year old car, and I don't recall it taking forever to get there, and that was in the winter, Feb and March. I figured I would get there in time to get a bite to eat before my test, but nope, I barely squeaked in to the parking lot on time, let alone get even a coffee.

It usually takes me an hour if there isn't much traffic. I know it feels like forever getting there!

Yep

It sure does seem long. I drove from saint john to freddy for 2 years 5 days a week.... the drive seems even longer on a Monday, and very short on a Friday lol! Typically it would take about 1 hour do get from north Saint John to Fredericton.

Exactly! I went 110 all the way, except through Welsford area where it is 60-80. It just felt like the drive went on and on and on. Coming home was the same way. Like you sass, I commuted my last 8 weeks in university to save $$ and I know it only took me an hour unless it was storming. I figured new highway, low traffic, new car... should have been there in time to eat before my test, but nope. They must have made the highway longer somehow when they double-laned it.
