Some years it has been at the bank, the community center etc. I just haven't seen them advertised but I have been pretty busy. Usually my mother keeps me informed but this year she didn't want to wait and went right to her doctor for hers.

I read that they have put them on hold until after the H1N1 blitz...and that they will restart once this is over...but there was nothing about when that would be.

They were giving them at the After Hours Clinic when I was there a couple of weeks ago, but no idea if they were free or not

The annual flu shot is only free if you have a chronic illness. The clinic schedule is on www.gnb.ca/flu and most of them have already past.

Too late for me I think. I already have the flu and feel like crap. Too sick to even hand out treats for the kids tonight. UUUGGGHHH

That's a darn funny thing, because I haven't paid a dime for one the past 6 years and I don't have a chronic illness nor am I on assistance. 3 or 4 years I went to Bayview Bank, another year I went to a community center and one year it was provided by work. Maybe it's just not free this year?

perhaps trinity, you are going to clinics set up for low income/elderly people? I am curious as to why you wouldn't schedule a flu shot at your DR.'s office? Getting the shot at your Dr.'s office would cost you aprox.$20.00 as you are not in a priority group. (from what you have said)
Just a sidenote, people with chronic illness are priority and people that are obese can also fall into that priority group as there are many health concerns associated with their condition. Sometimes people fall into a priority group and don't even know it! (not trying to offend anyone, simply stating a fact)

Not sure about the other years, but the year you got it at work, your work would have covered the cost. And I find darn funny that you say you have no chronic illness, not on assistance, yet your looking for a free shot. What makes you think your entitled to a free flu shot??
