Renting cottage for disney?

I am loooking for some info on renting a cottage or home of some sort in order to take my kids to disney. We have 4 kids and 2 adults and the resorts are ridiculously priced.Looking for something a bit cheaper and a little more family effiecient. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions of expierences of their own could you please post or pm me. Thanks

I don't know how much you expect to pay but have you looked into the cabins at the wilderness lodge??

there's a bedroom and a pull out bed. It'd sleep your family and you guys could have some privacy.

If you look hard enough, you can find some good deals at Disney resorts. I've got a room at the Animal Kingdom lodge (which is a Deluxe resort) next week for $150 / night, which is quite good for disney.

Alternatively, we've been to disney before years ago, and we had rented a house in Kissimmee. That's a nice area, and the house had a pool, washer and dryer, and everything, and I think was a bit over $1000 for the week (but that was probably 12 or 13 years ago now).

If you know someone that works for RCI, a couple of times a year they offer vacation certificates to employees for friends and family. If memory serves they cost 149.00, and will get you a 1 week stay in an rci resort. You could likely get a 2br full kit maybe 2 baths etc. Orlando is not bad to get just don't expect to get it around Christmas holidays or march/April times (spring break) Expect to pay more for the Disney tickets then the airfare (unless your driving) and do not buy used Disney tickets, they won't work, Disney scans and links your fingerprint to the ticket the first time it is used....
