Double yolked eggs

Does anyone know if you can buy these specifically? I was thinking about them the other day, how we used to get them all the time when I was a kid just in the regular dozen from the store, usually in the brown eggs. I was wondering why I hadn't seen any in years, maybe decades, so I looked it up and it's probably because they turn out larger so they don't make the "A" grade or are sold to food processing plants. I also found that some people elsewhere in the world seem to be able to buy them on purpose, so is there anywhere around here that you can?

The only time I ever get double yolked eggs is when we buy eggs from Olsens, but its random. There may be 4 or 5 eggs in the package that has them, then other times none. I think you're more likely to get them in the farm fresh than in the grocery stores.

You can buy them at Kredle's in Hampton. I'm not sure when they open for the season though but that is the only place I ever saw them

With technology now they can actually determine if an egg has a double yolk. Knowing this they will sort the eggs then most likely sell the double yolked eggs to resturants. The resturants will then use the one egg with two yolks for customers who order two eggs.

You can probably buy them too but I'm not sure where. My wifes parents always seem to have double yolked eggs but they travel to the US a lot so they might buy them there.

I did buy a carton of eggs a few weeks ago and every egg had two yolks, I think I bought it from Sobey's.
