Thats crazy.. they should be shut down.. They are way too dangerous to be out and about. I cam into work this morning for 8 and it wasn bad then.. but went to get soemthing to eat at lunch and its just COVERED out there! People sliding everywhere.. I hope everyone is ok!

Hey i dont think the transit buses will shut down, my bf is a driver and they never shut the buses down, i think only once in the last 3 years.. Its crazy though because they expect them to risk their lives 2 drive in this mess

someone told me that the city ran out of road salt and wont have any till next week, anyone know if this is true?

Very true and scary!

these big vehicles should NOT be driving .. If school busses cannot run.. city transits shouldnt be far nehind.. In conditions like this!

No they didn't run out. Supply was getting low. But they have enough.

They don't clear the roads during a storm that much because it's like pissing in the wind. They try to keep main roads clear and that's it.

No sign of them shutting the buses down sorry The freezing rain has started now. They are only going to get worse before they get better now.

Well they do plow and salt/ sand the roads during storms maybe not all of the time but they have

I have heard the same about them being all out of salt/sand. I haven't seen a truck on the road.

It wouldn't suprise me if they were out....this city is terrible when it comes to snow storms and snow removel overall.

You can listen to the radio. They did say the city is all out and the have ordered some. This explains why they were telling people to stay off the roads.

Yeah its the salt there out of!

Sand does nothing but make the roads worse....its the salt that helps.

Salt provides zero traction, all it does is lower the freezing point of water. Salt is not used in some cities.
