Topic: Your opinion on this please !!
I would walk them seperately, and train your female not to bark, either using commands and quick 'snaps' on collar. I have used prong collars for training larger breed dogs as I find them much more effective, and truthfully safer than choke collars. I find choke collars are a waste of money. I may get flamed for using such devices... But, I would rather have a dog in control, then one yanking my 150lb frame all over the place like a rag doll. I have trained both my rottweilers with them - with no adverse effects - and my male was trained so well that he would heel offlead. And sit like a statue while other dogs walked within inches of him.
Doing this quickly and effectively will get her attention and by doing so will make her stop and look up at you. Once she does this - praise her. . Once you have successfully accomplished this - I would re-introduce your male.
I have never used a spray collar. Only flat buckles, and prongs.
