Has anyone tented in PEI? Need advice!

Im planning a camping trip in PEI in July, and I need some advice on where to stay! Im looking around and finding some nice places but I would prefer to hear from people who have gone camping there. I'm not looking for anywhere in particular.

We stayed at Green Park in a camp cabin. It was a nice spot, around 30 - 40 minutes from Summerside. Maybe an hour from the bridge.

This is a good website and very informative

We tent quite a bit in Cavendish...usually at KOA...beautiful tent sites, great atmosphere, heated pool, camp store and they lock the gates at 11pm so you don't have to worry about riff raff coming in...DO NOT stay at Marco Polo Land...they stick the tents in the woods and you don't get any sun, its mucky and the bugs...well, i'd recomment KOA. Cheap too!!

Tenting

Try White Sands near Rustico, tenting in open field, cabins if interested, not far to Charlottown or Cavendish, we enjoyed it

We like the Sunset campground in Cavendish. Thats where we will be staying this year again. The Island is great, my favorite spot next to home of course. Great spot for kids and adults.

The only thing we didn't like about Sunset is that I found people partied until wee hours of the morning and our kids including us, didn't get much sleep.

I agree..Sunset is really nice. Close to the boardwalk for shopping, laundry mat if needed, restaurants and both water parks are all within a 10 minute drive. They also have a swimming pool, tennis courts, playground all in the same area. I would recommend there. We didn't have any problems with partying, I'm pretty sure at 11 pm they want everyone to be quiet but maybe not, it may just be the time you go and the people that are there.

I pm'd you about Twinshores. I can't believe no one here had mentioned that place! It is wonderful! It is without a pool, BUT really you don't need it when you have the warm beach right there. They also have a website, incase anyone is interested. Soooo much to do, with planned activities in the day and then sometimes in the evenings for the adults. Check it out!
