Did you know this about passport applications?

If you've applied for a passport and have the copy of the numbered paper given to you when you apply you can cross over into Calais from St. Stephen..
the woman at Service Canada told us this last week when we took in our applications.
We went down today and sure enough we were allowed in!

well we let their war criminals into our country to earn money, and even provide them with a taxpayer funded security contingent, so it does seem only fair.

I wish i had known this a few weeks ago. We had a trip planned for Bangor and cancelled it because my passport came but my fiance's didn't. The lady at the passport office even knew we had planned a tentative trip for that weekend but never told us that.

MissMem not sure if they would have permitted you to go to Bangor..we were told that we could just cross over into Calais..border guard asked us explicity if we were only going over for the day.
